The Automated Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that released software builds are exposed to automated smoke, acceptance, regression, load, and stress testing. Existing test scripts must be kept up-to-date, and new test scripts are to be created from manual functional test cases then selectively executed against iterative releases.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or engineering with 5+ years of software testing experience. Understands role of QA in complete software development lifecycle
• Knows Mercury tools particularly QTP and Load Runner. Should understand full features and capability of both the tools. Ready to give training to other QA resources if required
• Experience with QTP scripting (no record and play) and have developed scaleable automation frameworks
• Must understand load and performance testing requirements and have done at least one project of load testing using Load Runner
• Ability to effectively work with a geographically distributed team
• Understands release and configuration management
• Must be able to tie automation scripts with build process
• Proficient with VB scripting
• Functional testing and project management experience, preferably in a software services organization is definite plus
