After building Capital Recovery Service into the 44th largest collection agency in the country with five operating divisions, Warren chose to sell his interest in the company so he could devote more time and energy to his software business. Warren’s tireless dedication to the collection industry brought on a whole new world. He started a company, MEDCLR, which was the first and largest purchaser of Medical debt in the country, managing and owning over $14.2 billion of inventory. Warren also saw opportunity in the utility industry and decided to invest his energies in InoVision, which, when sold, was the first and largest purchaser of utility debt in America, having major contracts with 23 percent of the utility companies in the United States. And that wasn’t enough to slow Warren down! He was savvy enough to become the founding member of Marlin Capital, a purchaser of standard accounts such as credit cards, auto loans, and bad checks. Marlin Capital made the largest one time purchase of credit cards which was north of 9.5 billion.

Warren continues to impress with his innovative thinking. As founder and chairman of CR Software, his vision for the future of the collections industry is highlighted in the new CR Software Titanium product for which there is no competition in the United States today.

Although Warren devotes so much of his time and energy to working hard, he manages to make time for the most important things...his love for his family and his passion for deep sea fishing.

Martin Germanis, Chief Executive Officer, CR Software LLC
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the collections world, Martin has had the unique privilege of working and interfacing with hundreds of collections agencies. As a result, he is an avid advocate for leveraging technology as a means to achieve business solutions that help optimize an agency’s bottom line and increase their operational efficiencies. Martin is a Subject Matter Expert in the area of IT-based solutions for improved operations and business management of mid-to-large size collections agencies. He is the original code developer for many of the collection industry system standards from existing UNIX key-stroke based interfaces to today’s GUI-friendly open-architecture systems and web-enabled applications, including Titanium ORE, CR Software’s forward thinking flagship platform for collections agencies. His main focus today is the Titanium ORE product line via management and as a Subject Matter Expert.

Edgars "Edz" Sturans, President, CR Software LLC
Edz (pronounced "Edge") Sturans has been a professional in the collections industry since 1998 and has extensive experience in business development and customer relationship management. His efforts at CR Software have maintained a high company morale as well as developed strong personal relationships with our customers. His accomplishments as General Manager were natural building blocks to his advancement to President in 2002.

As President of CR Software LLC, Edz has transformed the company into an industry leader, developing many business relationships that have broadened the scope of CR Software’s market offerings, and introducing new business processes that have all helped to significantly grow the company from 22 employees to over 110 employees over the last 7 years.

Prior to his work with CR Software, Edz owned and managed multiple restaurants in Michigan and Vermont. He was also the Head Coach for the University of Vermont Women’s Volleyball team for 6 seasons. The move to the software development industry was prompted by his interests in management and technology, stemming from his own business needs and a drive for new business challenges.

Outside of his regular duties to CR Software, Edz currently coaches junior soccer, trains high school age girls in the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association, is the Vice Chairman of the Chantilly (VA) Soccer Club, and is a Board Member for the Fairfax County Parks Foundation.

Joe Carta, Vice President of Sales, CR software LLC
Joseph Carta has been in the credit, collection and accounts receivable industries for 29 years. He has held positions including computer operator, programmer, business analyst, research and development manager and technical sales. He was sole owner of Pyramid Computer Services (a collections software company) for 17 years before being acquired by CR Software in March of 2000.

As Executive VP of Sales, Joe works closely with all departments at CR Software to help transition new clients onto CR Software’s award winning platforms. He performs business analysis (GAP) needs for new clients along with managing his sales team and developing new sales leads. He personally establishes and maintains relationships with our larger clients.

Previous to owning and operating Pyramid Computer Services Joe worked for Corliss Credit Services Inc where he designed, programmed and installed one of the very first nationally sold automated cardless collection software packages.

Uwe Jacobs, Vice President of Development, CR Software LLC
Uwe moved to the US in 2000 to take a job as IT Director for marlin Holdings, the parent company of CR Software, where he was tasked with building up and leading our satellite development office in Albany, NY. In 2004, Uwe moved his family to Virginia to take over as Director of Development for the entire company. Before his life at CR Software, Uwe spent 13 years as a senior developer and architect for Siemens, the biggest computer company in Germany.

Currently Uwe is the chief architect for the Platinum system and manages the Titanium development team. He is responsible for our software development lifecycle across the enterprise and is a subject matter expert in the collections and debt purchasing arena.
